Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Painful Ears

Today in morning I have high ear pain I took combiflame for relief pain started while I was sleeping . My ears were very itchy I was trying to relief my self by wiggling them with fingers, after that one ear started hurting . In the evening on other one also started hurting badly I took 3 tablets to get relief.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy and painful ears which could be due to ear infection. I would suggest you to take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin you are not allergic to it along with Ibuprofen and Loratadine. Put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. you should take proper rest. Try to avoid excessive use of mobile as it will put more pressure. If symptoms keeps on persisting you should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Doctor will examine with otoscope and order CT scan .Get all the lab tests done for proper examination. For now take benadryl twice a day a, keep your ear dry and apply warm compresses to external ear . Apply topical antibacterial ointment such as betnovate on skin externally. Avoid touching or pricking it with sharp object.
