Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Painful Pimple On The Buttocks

A few months ago I noticed a bump sort of like a strange shaped pimple appear on the inside of my butt on the right cheek at the top near my tailbone. I never noticed any pain but there was a strange smell every once in a while and it itches from time to time, but never excessively. It just annoyed me since it was there. I started putting proactive repairing lotion on it since it makes my pimples disappear. The next day, it seemed like it shrunk a little and my underwear was wet and had this puss in it that was white. What is the bump and what do I do?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The bump was likely an abscess which is a localized collection of pus.

Definitive treatment of an abscess usually involves incision and drainage of the lesion. It would be best to go to your doctor for assessment. Even though it burst, there may still be pockets of pus present.

Antibiotics would also be needed as well.

I hope this helps
