Suggest Treatment For Itchy Bug Bite On Leg

I have a place that has came up on leg after being bit by something in my sister s yard. It is red around it a black spot and itches sometimes and hurts others. I have boiled it with peroxide and it doesn t appear to be getting worse, but the skin in that area has taken on a texture as though it is healing from a severe burn. Should I continue to treat it in this fashion?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to take Benadryl and use a corticosteroid cream topically. It seems like hypersensitivity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
