Suggest Treatment For Itchy Hives On Back, Forearms, Thighs And Stomach
Every night/morning I wake up with itchy hives all over my back, under forearms back og thighs and some on stomach. They start going away once I am up and running. This has been going on for about 6 weeks with varying degrees of hives...some mornings just a few and some mornings just covered. Occasionally my face, mouth or tongue will swell........these may not be related? I sleep on my back and side..could the hives be heat related. If I take a Benadryl before bed, all seems under control though I am groggy.....any thoughts?
Hives/Urticaria can be due to different possible causes.
It is not likely that they are related to your sleeping position.
Hives may be related to: allergies, can also occur in response to trauma, stress, cold, heat, exercise, medication, pressure on the skin, thyroid disease.
It may be best to consider visiting a dermatologist to determine the cause. This would require a careful history and examination
I hope this helps
