Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past 6 months I ve suffered from continuous itching, hives on my body where I wear clothing. I ve switched to laundry detergent for sensitive (a clear Tide or similar). However, I ve also had this reaction immediately after just one or two sips of wine (which I ve stopped drinking). I m allergic to sulfa drugs and penicillin and aspirin and I have age-induced asthma which I ve had for about 20 years. I m 70 now. Is there a relationship or similarity between sulfa and sulfites? What could I do to get rid of this itching and these hives?
