Suggest Treatment For Itchy Legs After Total Knee Replacement Surgery

My leg itches and there is nothing to cause it - no rash - no spots - it feels like the itch is inside my leg The itch is on the outside of my left thigh. This leg has had several surgeries the most recent being a total knee replacement. I have lots of scar tissue and new pain

Hi.

There could have been either some amount of compression or mild amount of damage to the lateral cutaneous nerve which could be causing the itch, I would recommend two things:

1. A check on your liver function (blood test)

2. A visit to your orthopedic surgeon to rule out/confirm any possible nerve related issue

Best wishes.
