Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes All Over The Body

my husband has a full body rash. it is very itchy. his face is not swollen. he can breath just fine. he feels normal. it started friday night on his face. now it has completely covered his body. his doctor is to full to take any patients right away. the dermatologist will not see him right away either. i was going to take him to urgent care after work today unless you have a home remedy that we can use. he has taken Benadryl but no change. do you happen to have any suggestions?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your husband have symptoms of itchy rashes all over the body. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like contact dermatitis which can be caused by coming into contact with cosmetic products, chemicals and poisonous plants, side effects or certain medicines, allergic reaction, sensitivity to sunlight , eczema and psoriasis. It could be de to poor immunity and increased sensitivity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain proper personal hygiene , take zyrtec once daily. You should not touch or prick any itchy area. Drink plenty of fluids to maintain hydration status of body. You should consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order skin patch test , blood test , test fro allergy and physical examination. Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment , antibiotics , anti inflammatory and immunosuppressants . Apply cold compresses to reduce the itchiness and inflammation .
