Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes On Ankles, Thighs And Forearms

Hi, I have no known allergies, 3 weeks ago I started getting itchy ankles which on certsin nights itchy enough to wake me, then I began to notice that I was breaking out in irregular shaped raised welts . This has now been ongoing for 3 weeks. The, welts appear all over my body, mainly snklesr, thighs, back and forearms. Nothing on my face or chest/abdomen. The itching us horrendous thst I scratch baiscally till I bleed.... any ideas?

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rashes on ankles, thighs and forearms which is due to an allergic reaction.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you take oral tablets of Terbinafine for 1 week. You should maintain proper hygiene of the area. You should visit a dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Do Not touch or prick it with any sharp object.

Take a tablet of cetirizine for symptomatic relief from itching. Apply moderately potent topical steroid of triamcinolone acetonide cream at affected sites. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined if symptoms of persisting. You should start a proper course of medications after complete examination.
