Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes On Skin

I m suffering from some kind of skin problem it seems. At times my skin becomes so itchy and I get rashes as I use my nail to get control over it. I feel itchiness on my whole body. Its been about 4 months. Consulted doctors several times. I become normal as I take those prescribed drugs and once I stop having it again I suffer from it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

There are many possible reasons for itching over the skin. In your case, it seems like there is an autoimmune process or some type of infection. This can cause the skin to itch as toxins are released

Getting to the diagnosis is important for the treatment. One thing that can help include getting a swab of the skin and checking it under the microscope. This would help one to get to the cause.

Once the cause is known, the treatment can be given. Most causes of autoimmune disorder can be treated with steroids or immune modulators.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
