Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes On The Fingers And Hands

I m trying to figure out my rash/bump issue. My fingers/hands started itching. then small bumps started to appear. The bumps were extremely itchy, like scabies or chicken pox. they spread to under my arms and eventually down my entire arms. My nurse practitioner took one look and said scabies. I ve had scabies before, but this is different. No burrow lines, etc. It s week 6, and it is ONLY on my arms. No one I ve been in contact with during this whole time has gotten scabies, including family members who had it before. Scabies treatments...both medicinal and natural did nothing. Some of the bumps would break and leak clear fluid but not all of them. Now today I ve noticed that I m starting to scar tiny white/silvery scars the same size as the individual bumps. The bumps themselves have either gone down and disappeared, but still continue to spread, making small, new ones to my arms only. What it this? I m guessing some type of ecxema/dermatitis (I have sebborhia derm. on the the back of my scalp)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to dermatitis.

For that you can apply hydrocortisone ointment locally. Take tablet loratidine for itching

You can apply aloe Vera gel alternatively. Along with that avoid harsh cosmetic products. Maintain proper hygiene

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
