Suggest Treatment For Itchy Red Bumps In The Leg

Husband s lower part of leg has raised itchy red bumps......has seen dermatologist a few times....did have a slight staff infection....antibiotics given for 2 weeks..... The last few days bumps has been ozzing clear fluid.....fluid gets on pants and socks. We covered the area with gauze for a few hours.....continued to drain. Should be keep uncovered or covered? Has a antibiotic cream to put on areas...should we continue to do this also?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history of itching on legs, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-B cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
