Suggest Treatment For Itchy Skin On Foot After Touching Kerosene

I dripped some kerosene on my foot. It soaked through my shoe and socks after an hour and is burning my skin like a moderate sun burn ? I applied some Allegra (diphenhydramine hydrochloride 2% ) anti itch cream . Is there anything else that would be more effective? Thanks

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The use of silver sulfadiazine which is used very commonly for burns, may help.

This cream prevents and treats infections that occur with burns. In addition the use of anti inflammatory pain killers (ibuprofen, cataflam or naproxen) may also help.

If the burn is significant then you need to see your doctor for assessment and treatment.

I hope this helps
