Suggest Treatment For Itchy Uncomfortable Lump Behind Scrotum

I have had an itchy taint for about a month now. I am on my feet at work a lot, and sweat in that area. But have just recently noticed a nickel to quarter sized lump under the skin there. I originally thought it was a hemmroid. But it is not touching my anus. Yet, it is closer to my anus than my scrotum. It is more uncomfortable than painful. (Not extreme pain).. but I don t know what it is?? Cyst..? I just don t want it to be cancer. And I am an over-worrier.. I can grab ahold of it with my index finger and thumb. More of a big bean shape than a perfect round ball. What do you think?

Hi,

Yes, this is a cyst. You need to see a surgeon to remove it by simple procedure, until then you can apply fucidin cream on it.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
