Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain jaw pain with a history of having TMJ is not an abnormal finding and in case if it is feeling like
bone chip or fracture you need to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and a full mouth x ray known as
Orthopantomogram can help in diagnosis and there is a possibility that there is dislocation of the articular disk that is present as a soft cushion between the two bony ends of the jaw joint.
The other cause can be anterior displacement of the condyle of the mandible..
As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen, take
muscle relaxant like Chlorzoxasne and take a
soft diet..
Avoid excessive mouth opening..
Do warm compresses over jaw joint..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
