Hi can mdma cause joint and muscle pain in the long term? I was a regular user months ago and now my knee is always locking up or I have pain when I try to bend down, or when I sit for a while and try to get up it hurts and my knee feels locked up like I have to limp a little then goes back to normal. wondering if this has anything to do with the mdma?
Joints and muscle pain is because of side effects of MDMA, do not get addicted to it or the symptoms will worsen(fatigue, cramps, loss of appetite, difficulty in concentrating).
Reduce MDMA dose & try to slowly stop taking it for health issues. Visit ER, get physically examined & get tests for RS/OA done.
In the meantime take NSAIDS(Combiflam) for pain relieve. Do regular exercise, eat home made food, avoid addictions & junk food. Switch on to healthy lifestyle.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
