Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and was put on eutirox... one day on a check up they told me I shouldn t be taking it anymore, and after 6 months they re checked and my levels were normal. But I just feel all the sypmtoms, very lethargic, joint paint, dry skin , etc etc... I would be so much happier if I would still be taking it. Can I just continue taking it?
AS per your history let me know the result of present TSH level and how much you had been given for hypothyroid .Please continue with it and every 3 months interval adjust the does . The normal range of TSH levels is 0.4 to 4.0 milli-international units per liter. If you're already being treated for a thyroid disorder, the normal range is 0.5 to 3.0 milli-international units per liter. So check your report accordingly. Also ruled out Rheumatoid Arthritis and take a b-complex daily as caps.(thanks)
