Dear Doctor, My EN started the first week of November 2016 and I am still suffering from EN today March 2017. My lumps have never gone away and have only increased in number. They don t present themselves as other people with EN, but they start out as pea size and grow into larger lumps that are very tender and hot. All my joints hurt especially in the SI joints, knees, shoulders, and the lumps put pressure in my shins as I walk. I continue to have different symptoms that range from joint pain, dry eye, dry mouth, and my IBSD has become more active. I get sore throats but they fade, fatigue, my depression has worstened, and my cervical spine always hurts. My SED rate was slightly elevated four months ago, but recently was sent to the rheumatologist. Strep and TB with Cray were negative, but ANA was borderline positive. The Rheumatologist just ordered another full panel of tests to see if maybe it s Sarcoidosis because of my shortness of breath, but 4 months ago during TB Xray, everything looked normal. It s been over 4 months now, and I am beginning to forget what feeling healthy is like. My Aunt died of Non Hodgkins from her thyroid that spread, my Dad s brother died of lymphoma that spread to his brain, my father has been diagnosed with squamous cell with some kind of lymphoma, and I just lost my mother in October 2015 to squamous cell carcinoma. However, my rheumatologist thinks it may be sarcoidosis, but it doesn t seem to present itself as that either. I am getting so tired of being sick, steroids, cold packs, hot baths, eye drops, vitamins for immune system, my depression and anciety meds, probiotics, and the list goes on. Sometimes their may be no underlying cause for EN, but it seems unlikely in my case because of the length of time I have been sick with symptoms coming and going every day. I am just frustrated and looking for some answers or some guidance to point me in the right direction. I have a total of almost 4 years studying in the medical field and I can t take care of anyone right now until I can get healthy. Anything you could offer would be helpful. Thanks- Trish
