Hello dear
Understand your concern
Ketone in the urine suggest body use the reserve fat present in the body.
First you have to find the cause of it like:
Uncontrolled Diabetes melitus, prolonged fating, high fever, high protein diet and low carbohydrate diet, glycogen storage disorder, severe vomiting and hyperthyroidism.

So I think it may be due to illness for that your daughter has been admitted to the ER.
Wait for the clearance of sickness and again do the urine report for ketone.
Now give healthy diet with adequate carbohydrate, give adequate water to maintain hydration. But after clearance of sickness still the ketone are present then you have to go for following investigation
Blood sugar, Insulin, Thyroid hormone analysis etc.
Hope this may help you
