Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Auto immune disorders cause significant deterioration in kidney function and this leads to pain and discomfort from the effect of deposition of immunogloulins in the kidneys. These changes take place at the microscopic level and a renal biopsy usually proves the cause for the symptoms.

If the diagnosis is confirmed then treatment is by a combination of immune modulators and steroids. Chemotherapy and anti metabolites might also have to be prescribed for this purpose. The treatment might take 6 to 8 months with proper treatment and follow up. Please do not worry.
