Suggest Treatment For Kidney Failure In A 23 Year Old
Friends roughly 23 year old daughter is having kidney failure, in Texas. They have put in a port for dialysis. This is the second day in a row that she has needed a unit of blood. Had blood pressure issues but I don t recall if it was high or low. Her dad had a form of rickets which was not dietary related--she has this in her history but no symptoms--he had many leg surgeries. Any ideas on the kidney failure, low cell count and why she is needing units of blood?

Suggest Treatment For Kidney Failure In A 23 Year Old
Hello, She might be having hypercalcinosis and associated renal failure. Chronic kidney disease may cause low hemoglobin and that might be the reason for blood transfusions. In severe cases kidney transplantation will be the only option. Consult a nephrologist and he will direct you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
