Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 23 year old son has a kidney stone. He was seen at the ER & followed up w/ his urologist, They gave him Flomax & pain med & said it could take up to 2weeks to pass, He is having pain as I type, Pretty bad. He took a pain med but is pacing in pain. Does this mean the stone is moving now.
Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic.Thank you for the query. Yes, it may be moving, Treatment depends oin size of stone. Small stones are usually passed spontaneously. but larger ones require specific procedures which may be more or less invasive. You should rink plenty of fludis, take spasmodics and nosnteroid painkillers and then see if there will be improvement. Wish you good health. Regards
