Am 69 years old. Blood test from1 1/2 months ago is otherwise excellent. Have been experiencing persistent cough over last 3 months- however no fever no fever, no rash, no diahrhea, average energy level.; eg. Start day at 6:15 am, settle down around 8:00 pm. Have torn meniscus that I will have surgically addressed in early June. I am taking naproxen sulfate (440 mg) to mitigate knee pain. Am also taking benazipril (10 mg) and simvastatin (40 mg). Is it possible cough is tied into medication (s)??? Larry D YYYY@YYYY
Your cough may be caused by Benazepril, it is an ACE inhibitor, this group may have side effect cough. You may consult your doctor to replace it with any other antihypertensive drug.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
