Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain

my friend has been having pain in her right knee. today she called crying that she can't walk the pain is so bad. no red area or swelling, inner side knee burning sensation also in foot. has had injections left knee before but this is more intense pain. Could she have a blood clot?
