Suggest Treatment For Large Red Patches On The Forehead

Hi, I am currently prescribed Phentermine and I have been breaking out with large red blotches on my forehead and face. This never happened until I started taking the phentermine. I was off it for about a week cause I was out of town and forgot to take it with me I did not break out that week as soon as I started taking again I broke out

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of large red patches on the forehead which seems to be due to side effects of medication, viral infection and it could be due to pyoderma as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you maintain complete hygiene and avoid these areas from excessive exposure to sunlight and keep them dry. You should visit dermatologist once and start treatment after proper examination and prescription. Take proper course of Acyclovir along with apply calamine as soothing lotion. Avoid sunlight exposure.
