Suggest Treatment For Leakage In Heart Valve
my 86 year of mother have valve leakage just diagnoised. Her doctor says she is too old for open heart surgery. Are ther options less invasive for her to consider. She is very active and otherwise healthy as is my father. Where might this be obtained. She lives in Fayetteville NC and I live in Charlotte NC

For patients with advanced age and valve disease there are other options available instead of open heart surgery.
In some valve problems percutaneous valvuloplasty is available with very good results.
So you can discuss with your doctor whether your mother's case is suitable for that kind of surgery.
