Suggest Treatment For Left Side Chest Pain With Moving Feeling

I first was told I had Chostrcondritis last year. This year I have had it 3 times. I am a 47 year old female. I have been a smoker since the age of 18. I have high blood pressure high chlorestoral, edema in both legs and feet. Last night the chostrocondritis moved from my right side to the left. I normally sleep on my left side. But have difficulty lying down with this condition I have. I Saw my doctor on Thursday. She perscribed me a cough syrup with codine & one for Gabapentin which used to help the pain, but not anymore. Today there is a moving feeling in the rib area & like a popping feeling? What is the movement feeling? Thank you,

hello, thanks for your query, smoker, hypertensive, hypercholesterolmia, edema presenting with cough and chest pain should be evaluated with xray chest to know any infection , pleuritic pain( effusion), cough( bronchectasis). go ahead for the test and blood tests to know the presence of infection. costochondritis also needs antibiotics, where it's missing in your prescription. hope I have answered your query. all the best. take care.
