Hi,

Pain in this area could be caused by several things, including nerve damage, adhesions, or inflammation. Your doctor may recommend imaging tests such as an MRI or CT scan to get a better look at the area and identify any underlying issues and to confirm if surgery is needed.

In the meantime, some home remedies may help relieve your pain, such as:
- Applying heat compresses or cold packs around the area that is affected
- Taking over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen as directed by your doctor
- Gentle stretching and exercise, under the guidance of a physical therapist
- Massage or acupuncture therapy to help reduce muscle tension and inflammation
- Resting and avoiding activities that worsen the pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
