General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thank you for asking on HealthcareMagic.com. I have gone through your case and I can understand your concern. Varicocele is engorgement of the internal spermatic veins above the testes. This vascular abnormality is a cause of decreased testicular function. Some varicoceles are easy to identify and may be surgically corrected. The presence of a varicocele does not mean that surgical correction is a necessity. You were diagnosed with mild varicocele, but doesn't affect your fertility & you feel pain on the left testicle, so I would prescribe for this discomfort painkillers such as Tylenol 500mg three times daily or Advil 400mg twice daily. Wishing you good health.
