Suggest Treatment For Left Sided Pain In The Underarm Area
I have a pain on my left side, underarm area and a little on my left side of my breast. Not sure if it was caused by something I did or what. Possible that my underwire bra, that was in that area caused it. Just not sure. Does the pain I have, which is not real bad, mean I should go to my Dr., or wait and see if it goes away. I have had this pain for about a week. I got a new bra without underwire and am trying that but it s only been one day. I am 72 years old and otherwise in pretty good health, mainly high cholesterol controlled with medication.
The symptoms can be related to muscular issue so I suggest to wait. I recommend to use anti-inflammatory medications such as Naproxen for the pain. You can use them three times per day. If the symptoms continue you should do an X-ray of the chest and an ultrasound of the breast for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
