General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the information you provided, it seems your husband is experiencing leg pain unrelated to any obvious musculoskeletal or joint issues. Nervy pain that comes in waves may indicate a nerve-related issue such as sciatica, characterized by pain radiating from the lower back down the leg.

If your husband's pain is not responding to conservative measures such as rest, ice, and over-the-counter pain relievers, it may be necessary to seek medical evaluation from a doctor or specialist. Depending on the suspected cause of the pain, treatment may involve physical therapy, prescription medication, or other interventions such as nerve blocks or surgery.

It is also important to rule out any underlying medical conditions that may be contributing to the pain, such as diabetes or peripheral artery disease. A comprehensive medical evaluation may be necessary to determine the best course of treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
