Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My my son aged 11 complains of a feeling numbness setting on in his legs when he runs . It doesn t happen when he plays rugby for instance but seems to happen most frequently when he runs on a track. After being to an athletics club today it happened a fe times and then again over more of his body tonight. It doesn t last for long. Any ideas or is it maybe just growing issues?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such numbness could be nonspecific in this age unless have some associated neurological symptoms, so it is nothing tom worry, some time it may be due to some local compression of nerve system due to running and proper care need to be taken and for that better to inform the instructor or coach to learn the proper method of running hope this information helps.
