Suggest Treatment For Lichen Planus Pigmentosus And Alopecia Areata
Hi, my skin biopsy result suggests lichen planus pigmentoses. As a result, I hyper pigmentation on my arms, neck, face and also have scarring alopecia.I have been prescribed steroidal cream and I avoid the sun as well. I haven t seen any improvement with this. I take synthroid for my hypothyroidism. What would you suggest I tryin terms of 1) allopathy 2) homeopathy 3) Ayurvedic treatments. I am otherwise a healthy woman in my mid 50s, Thanks Vani
As per my clinical experience, the lichen planus is an auto immune disorder with the chronic inflammation of parts of dermis provoking pigmentation in arms, neck, face and other regions. As the steroid creams are best remedies, which show up effects over a period of time, addition of monoclonal antibodies as disease modifying agent or interleukin inhibitors are best suggested approach for the same.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
