General & Family Physician 's  Response
A lipoma is a benign tumor of fat cells. It grows under the skin in the subcutaneous tissue which contains many fat cells. It is slow growing and may occur singly or in multiple numbers. Lipoma usually causes no symptoms. Most lipomas require no treatment. Surgical excision is done for large lipoma and for cosmetic purpose. Cure is possible by surgical excision on individual tumor.
He should not have squeezed it. Squeezing caused infection. Now abscess has formed. Abscess contains pus that needs to be drained by surgical incision.
Advice
1.     Incision & drainage of abscess. Contact your surgeon for full removal of abscess and lipoma
2.     Hot fomentation with slight warm water every 6 hours
3.     Cefixime (tablet Taxim – O)100 mg every 12 hours per oral daily for 7 days
4.     Ibuprofen 600 mg per oral after meal if pain occurs
5.     Investigation –
a.     CBC
b.     Hb%
c.     ESR
d.     Bleeding time/clotting time
Thanks
