Suggest Treatment For Liver Cirrhosis In An Elderly Person
Hello, My father 66 years old has cirrhosis due to alcohol. He started throwing up blood and was rushed to the ER. They did a scope to find he had bleeding ulcers. After his scope he did not wake up. Night he had a hard time breathing and was put on a mask. Later he was incubated because he could not breath on his own. He s been in the icy for over 5 days. He s swelling in the hands and stomach, has an infection, pneumonia etc. His vitals are stable. My question is why is he not waking up? They were sedating him while he was going through withdrawal now they are not. I don t understand why he won t wake up? And what stage of the disease this is? Any information would be appreciated.
