Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my daughter had a filling and it fell off, she was in pain so I put a numbing medicine and gave her motrin. It was bleeding so I got a qtip and tried to take some blood off when I noticed her molar was loose and it came right out?? This is a baby tooth, will she be ok or do I still have to the her in to see the dentist? Her pain went away as soon as her tooth came out? Pls help.
As per your complain it seems that the milk tooth that had the filling dislodged in case of your daughter must have reached the shedding time and the loosening and pain was due to it at the point of being shed off.. As soon as it got removed the pain subsided then you need not to worry as the pain was due to continuous movement of the crown of the tooth that is only left in a milk tooth as the roots get resorbed gradually to let the tooth easily shed.. Need not to worry as there is nothing serious and it is a normal process of shedding of milk teeth.. In case of further pain or swelling you need to consult a Paediatric dentist, otherwise it is not needed..
Hope this helps..
Thanks and regards.
