Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an 18 year old son who is very active, he does BMX cycling daily, however, his appertite does not match the amount of activity he does. He is athletically built, very healthy, seems to sleep a lot, but simply doesnt eat enough. Could there be an underlying problem?
If your son has not lost weight recently and has no other problem, it may be just your perception that he is not eating enough. You say that he is healthy and active. Therefore, you need not worry. People have different metabolisms. Sometimes, those who are physically more active may not eat as much as those who are less physically active. I hope that this is helpful.
