Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My dad is 76. He has been having issues with balance. As he describes it: when he walks (he uses a cane) he feels like he can t help but stoop forward even if he tries to stand straight. When he sits on the edge of a chair or the couch, he feels like he s being forced to lean backwards. We can t seem to get a doctor to understand it is not his age
This sounds less likely to be age-related, and in my clinic, I strongly recommend to undertake a detailed neurologic examination with MRI brain and spine for further evaluation of the symptoms and pathology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello, There can be a possible issue with the uncle s cerebellum or spinal cord level. This sounds less likely to be age-related, and in my clinic, I strongly recommend to undertake a detailed neurologic examination with MRI brain and spine for further evaluation of the symptoms and pathology. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
