Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Dad is 75 years old and has been taking hydrochlorathiazide and amylodipine (Norvasc - 10 mg) for some time. Then at night he takes doxzosin and zolipedem (because he s not sleeping). His blood pressure is really low and he s been feeling lightheaded. Any suggestions?
Regarding your concern, I would explain that the dizziness and lightheadedness are probably caused by low blood pressure values, which is related to the anti-hypertensive drugs that he is taking.
For this reason, I would recommend reducing the doses or even stopping doxazosin and Norvasc, as long as his blood pressure values are low.

Suggest Treatment For Low BP And Lightheadedness
Hello, Regarding your concern, I would explain that the dizziness and lightheadedness are probably caused by low blood pressure values, which is related to the anti-hypertensive drugs that he is taking. For this reason, I would recommend reducing the doses or even stopping doxazosin and Norvasc, as long as his blood pressure values are low. It is also necessary for performing complete blood count to check for anemia. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
