General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Her Low BP may be caused by Amitriptyline. This drug may cause cardiovascular problems. I would like to suggests some tests:
1. Blood Test
2. Head CT
3. ECG

The drug she is using is more likely to cause postural hypotension and can lead to faint. I would suggest some alternative medicines:

1. Aspirin, butalbital, and caffeine

Thereafter,

1. Divalproex sodium
2. Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) supplements or tablets

Please post the tests result so that a doctor can follow you and can give you the next course of treatment if required. Do not worry. She is under treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
