Hi welcome to HCM. Variations in blood pressure are quite common in women taking birth control pills. These pills are known to cause higher blood pressure which can impose a lot of stress on your heart.Kidney damage by these pills is quite unlikely.I advise you to have a baseline ecg and a 2 dimensional echo of the heart.Consult your gynecologist for alternative means of contraception.Drugs like beta blockers are effective in reducing the blood pressure.Monitor your blood pressure periodically. Thank you.
