Suggest Treatment For Low Grade Fever, Headache And Chest Pain

hi ! my husband is having chills a low grade fever... congestion a headach, some chest pain not extreme & he feels hot to the touch on his face ??? he has taken advil pm at about 145pm , some cough medicine at 930 am and i had him take 2 aleve pm at about 6:40pm he is currently wrapppe up in covers with humidifyer running and fan blowing. please advise

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have low grade fever, headache and chest pain along with congestion. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to condition called bronchitis . Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from your lungs. It could be due to heart related systemic pathology. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult chest specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order chest X-ray , sputum tests and pulmonary function test and blood test to rule out sinusitis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , cough suppressants , inhaler and other medications to reduce inflammation and open narrowed passages in lungs . Take steam thrice a day and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
