Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 2 year old continues to get a low grade fever each morning, which is gone by lunch. (~100.3) even though it is low, she obviously feels bad. Dr checked her out and ruled out the obvious things (flu, strep, etc) but it has been over a week of the same pattern. Might her body be under too much stress during the night? Should we keep it warmer at night? I m assuming it is something simple...? (Side note: she has uncontrolled epilepsy and does have seizures all night. However, nothing has changed in the past year, and this fever has never happened )before)
I would recommend checking her thyroid hormone levels, and performing an abdominal ultrasound in order to examine her kidneys and a urine bacterial culture for possible infection.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
