My daughter and I have been very unwell for nearly a week now, low grade fever, headache, nausea, pain in the ears and sore throat. Not a sore throat in the usual sense, it hurts to swallow but its almost as if the area in the front of the throat around the adams apple area hurts. We also are fatigued with aches and pains...my best friends daughter who was in the house about three to four weeks ago has just been diagnosed with mumps even though she was vaccinated. my query is would it be possible that we have a milder form even though we were vaccinated. All three females in our house have had vaccinations that are up to date but I worry for my husband as he was never vaccinated...what would the risk be to him if it might be mumps I would appreciate any advice you could give me on this, thank you. regards, T.
