Hello I m having a lot of problems with my heart rate. It s going below 30 and it s making me so ill and I m passing out. There s no stable beat to it. I had a CT scan today and it went to 272 bpm. 30 lowest, 60, 90 Why is this happening and what can I do
You need a cardiac check up if you are having symptoms of low heart rate(Bradycardia). Cause of bradycardia can be due to hypothyroidism or some medications beta blockers, antiarrhythmics or any other medication that you might be taking. Bradycardia is a condition when the heart does not pump enough oxygen rich blood to the body. Get CBC, Urinalysis, X-Ray, ECG, Echocardiography & other imaging tests like CT, MRI, etc done. Get evaluated & treated. Your treatment will depend upon the cause, you may need a pacemaker.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
