Suggest Treatment For Low Sex Drive After Menopause
hi I had a surgically induced menopause 6 months ago and only now starting to have symptoms, hot flushes night sweats and loss of libido being main ones, had a healthy sex life until my hysterectomy,I am 53 and after speaking with my gp do not want to go on to hrt.. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you
Lower levels of estrogen & testosterone after hysterectomy & menopause cause loss of libido. Loss of libido can also be due to stress, fatigue, depression or emotional instabilities.
To avoid vaginal dryness & itching, you can apply estrogen cream. HRT (Testerone replacement therapy) is effective, it improves sexual drive. Make lifestyle changes, improve your diet, take low carb-high protein diet, avoid addictions if any, take adequate sleep, stay away from stress & do regular exercises.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
