Suggest Treatment For Low Sex Drive And Depression
I am having discomfort during sex, & a lowered sexual desire. I have a h/o breast cancer, and also anxiety and depression, for which I am taking an antidepressant, and anti-anxiety meds. Is there any vaginal cream that does not contain estrogens that might help with the discomfort?
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
A lot of females with history of breast cancer treatment develop poor sexual drive and discomfort during intercourse. You also have depression and anxiety for which you are on anti-depressants. Anti-depressants drugs are also associated with side effects like poor libido in females. You have not mentioned the drugs but SSRI drugs are commonly implicated in reduced libido. First of all take opinion of your psychiatrist regarding side effects of drugs you are taking. Some drugs like Mirtazapine or Bupropion etc are not associated with sexual side effects.
If vaginal dryness is the problem then some no-estrogen creams like KY jelly can help you. This would help in maintaining lubrication. Try to spend a lot of time in foreplay and you will see improvement in vaginal lubrication.
Visit a psychiatrist if problem persist.
Thanks, Take care
