Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain That Radiates To Legs
I have pain in my lower abdomen area that is radiating to my legs especially on right side my urine was negative for uti Drhas sent the urine for culture and ultrasound is normal too she did not prescribed any antibiotics but I did not see any improvement in pain
Lower abdominal pain that radiates to the legs needs to be well diagnosed first as this is a rare combination. CT scan combined with MRI called as 'combo-study' should be done for abdomen and hip bones to get the exact cause of pain. This can be related to lower pelvic structures or hip bones or joint. If there is any cancer that has invaded the pelvic structures then the case may be terminal and needs treatment accordingly. This is a possibility as seen in some cases.
If the cause is inflammatory then medical management should help you. For example pelvic inflammatory disease in female patients causing inflammation of the pelvic structures as well as that of spinal cord and thus the referred patient. Some hip bone and joint conditions like inflammation can mimic the same. Involvement of spine can also cause pain in lower abdomen and legs and hence should be kept in mind. MRI of the spine can be considered if there is clinical evidence. Hence, the basic rule is to have a proper diagnosis first so that a specific treatment can be done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
