Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain

About 2 months ago my lower back started hurting after a workout. The pain stayed for 2 weeks and gradually faded since i stopped working out for a while. I just started training again and the pain is back at the same spot. It hurts when i cough, when i sneeze (due to contracting my muscles i think?), and when i bend down. When i am doing nothing, there is an aching (almost throbbing) pain. What should i do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Get your x-ray spine done. It may show a spondylitis problem. Consult an orthopedic surgeon. for suitable treatment (can be medicines oral, local application ointment, injectable, physiotherapy or surgery).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
