Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain

I have had lower back pain just right of my spine for over two weeks. I initially thought I may have pulled a muscle but since heat and rubs have made no improvement, I wounder if this may be something else? I m 71 years old and never had any urinary infections. Will this be enough info for you to suggest what it might be? Thanks you, Glynn Carrigan

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a spine related problem like prolapsed disc or nerve compression. As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best. Thank you.

Regards,
