Suggest Treatment For Lumbar Spondylitis

Hello! My nephew is 21 and he just found out he has lumbar spondylitis. He has been told he will be in a wheelchair by age 30. They also said they have injections that he would have to take twice a month. They would cost about $2300 per injection. The injections would be for life. Is there ANYTHING else that could be done for him. His parents are desperate!!
